<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

http://boozycane.com

PinkOrange Recordshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12476140216546881692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6173693047871528138.post-63052813050531191592021-12-15T07:12:00.016-08:002021-12-22T09:19:34.709-08:00
BOOZYCANE is a brand new side project from Andrew Cane.

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">The first track is an instrumental called 'It Happened Tomorrow' and will be released on Bandcamp on December 17, 2021, where it can be downloaded as a HiRes file and will be available in standard bitrates on all streaming services worldwide in January 28 2022.
<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">'It Happened Tomorrow' is a jazzy instrumental that floats from A to B without repetitive sections. A gentle electric guitar journey through changing keys, supported by Tom’Bo’ Ott on drums and subtly underpinned by atmospheric string sounds. A great addition to playlists with a chill factor.
<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">Some may wonder why the release is in the jazz genre, Boozycane comments:
<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">"For a musician like me, who has played in the rock and punk scene most of his life, it's kind of weird to release a song labelled Jazz. But for 'It Happened Tomorrow,' there was no other choice close enough to what it is. It's a 4/4 time signature and I used so-called jazz harmony, that's it. The piece doesn't follow the usual rules, like verse, chorus and so on, and it's not exactly what I would call jazz and what most people probably wouldn't associate it with. I would put it under the main genre of guitar music. It's a little guitar journey."
<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">"To cut to the chase, some time ago I started thinking about releasing music, whatever style or genre. Since I'm originally a guitarist, I wanted to go back to my roots and focus solely on composing the music instead of also writing lyrics and singing.
<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">I wanted to take a simple, casual approach to this piece of music and let it go in any direction it wants."
<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">The idea for 'It Happened Tomorrow' came to Boozycane when he was on vacation in Ibiza and was written on a cheap acoustic guitar lent to him by his landlord. At first he was going to release it as a guitar-only unplugged version, but then he ran into an old friend and band member who was a drummer in a previous band of his. TomBo was happy to take over the drums for the instrumental, which was not as easy as it would have been under normal circumstances. The guitar was recorded by Boozycane in his studio, with the click only serving as a vague guideline, not as strict as most productions these days where everything is quantized to death. So TomBo really had to adapt.
<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;">As Boozycane said, “In this project I don't want to limit myself to one genre. I have too many different ideas parked unused on my hard drives to limit myself to stereotypical thinking. Life is too short to waste it with restrictions on genres. And I have no superstar hero ambitions with this project."
<p style="color: #454545; font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 14px;">

The new music arrives 4 months after his single 'All I Wanted is to Have Sex with You' where all music was programmed and not even one single guitar tone was featured at all.

‘RAIN DOWN THE DRAIN‘ is back to playing real string instruments and with real drumming. No keyboards or programming is involved. Even parts that sounds that like strings, are played by E-Bow guitar and and put through the mangle with plugins to alter the sound. In principle, the opposite approach was taken here, as is usually the case when music producers try to simulate real guitar sounds with plugins.

The theme of 'RAIN DOWN THE DRAIN' is the up and down of a musician who is overrun by sudden success and goes off the rails. Drugs and false friends make him lonely in the glittering world of rock business and he eventually sets out to leave all that behind. The classic story of a winner who becomes a loser and tries to find himself again. 'RAIN DOWN THE DRAIN' combines yearning mood and interesting chord changes with guitar sounds, without falling into the cliché of a classic rock ballad.

Asked what Andrew misses about his production:
" Budget, budget, budget ... I would like to make a video where the starring role of the young musician is played by the long-haired Jason Butler from his time in "The Shannara Chronicles" and the used-up musician is performed by a long-haired Jonny Depp from the present time. For the women around him, I could imagine three gals from the series 'TWO BROKE GIRLS'. Kat Dennings as a rival to Beth Behrs, who is his girlfriend at the time of his rise and then when everything goes down the drain, is portrayed by Jennifer Coolidge. But Hollywood didn't answer yet, he added wit a smile in his face."

While Andrew is dreaming about budget and wonderful actors and actresses a lyric video will be released alongside.
But dreams can come true -or can go down the drain.
Let's wait and see and let's keep thumbs up!

PinkOrange Recordshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12476140216546881692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6173693047871528138.post-37164299574254506882021-01-19T13:01:00.001-08:002021-01-19T13:01:00.580-08:00
ALL I WANTED IS TO HAVE SEX WITH YOU OUT NOW ON YOUTUBE

PinkOrange Recordshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12476140216546881692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6173693047871528138.post-38616385064821581822020-12-23T11:45:00.001-08:002020-12-23T11:45:56.075-08:00ALL I WANTED IS TI HAVE SEX WITH YOU
Now on #Spotify

open.spotify.com

PinkOrange Recordshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12476140216546881692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6173693047871528138.post-36175692612598619822020-12-20T05:44:00.003-08:002020-12-20T05:47:59.552-08:00
'Debut' on Bandcamp

Kristina Hanses' ‘DEBUT’ is availebale on Bandcamp, now.

Get yout High Resolution copy here_

https://kristinahanses.bandcamp.com/releases

PinkOrange Recordshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12476140216546881692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6173693047871528138.post-86820118979201352942020-12-20T05:36:00.002-08:002020-12-20T05:46:48.897-08:00
Andrew Cane has released his brand new single ‘All I Wanted Is to Have Sex with You’

The new launch is a testament to his ever-evolving genuine sound. The new recording arrives after the release of the single 'Lies' on September 30, 2020.

Most listeners probably associate Andrew Cane with guitars and rock drums. Not so with "All I Wanted Is to Have Sex with You", here he breaks his previous line in music.
In fact, not a single guitar appears in this tune and so do not rock drums.
The song is not performed vocally, but to emphasize the atmosphere, whispered.
A whisper with the fictional love on the other end of the digital connection.
The LoFi piano sound, the atmospheric vinyl crackle and analog noise , convey the mood of a lonely night in front of the computer.
As a genre, Andrew describes the track as whisper rap or whisper pop.

It describes the fictional situation of a pair of lovers who are spatially separated by the Corona Pandemic and can only communicate via the computer.
The song title clearly states what is missing for many of those who live alone and have no opportunities to meet the opposite sex.

Andrew explains, "At times like this, many people are realizing that physical closeness cannot be replaced by digital applications like Zoom over a long period. I don't want to mention warm hearted feelings. You can easily become alienated in the long run.
Until now, probably only sailors, soldiers or prisoners knew this feelings, to this extent.
‘All I Wanted Is to Have Sex with You’ is the shortest song I‘ve ever recorded as I see it like a snapshot with a Polaroid camera.
In light of this pandemic, I hope it stays a snapshot of history."

Download https://music.apple.com/us/album/all-i-wanted-is-to-have-sex-with-you-single/1544556753

PinkOrange Recordshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12476140216546881692noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6173693047871528138.post-16138762729380876982020-11-03T00:19:00.003-08:002020-12-20T05:55:53.114-08:00LIES Now On Spotify <p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">In December 07, 2019 Andrew Cane dropped on EP with 6 songs on Bandcamp.com.

These songs Songs were recorded in 1996 at a live gig at the Slaughterhouse in Munich (Germany), with vocalist Claudia Cane, Andrew Cane on guitar and keyboards, Holger Schulten playing bass and Harry Bischof behind the drums.

The 6 songs of the live recordings were recorded with a Fostex R8 8-track recorder. On their further way they were transferred twice to other tape machines to record a few overdubs.

The recordings were originally made for the purpose of a CD, which the band wanted to sell as merchandise and as demo tape for promoters.

But it turned out differently because EMI Germany had become aware of the band, which was then known as Mata Hari, and Andrew Cane, as artistic producer, produced 12 songs on behalf of the company.

Dancing Queen, Run but Creep, Jesus was a Woman, In Our Hearts and Out of Line were re-recorded amongst other songs which had been demoed so far on Andrew's home recordings only. So the live tapes were history until Andrew Cane found the recordings in his sound archive and mastered them.

You can listen to the result on https://andrewcane.bandcamp.com/album/1996-live-at-the-slaughterhouse and download it in all common formats. Also lovers of CD quality will get their money's worth.
